Teaching Assistant
Location: Carshalton, South West London
Pay: £475 – £550 per week (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only

A specialist SEND and Complex Needs setting in Carshalton is looking for a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant.
This is a powerful opportunity to make a genuine difference, provide a sensory and holistic approach for pupils with SLD, PMLD and Autism.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for pupils with Autism, PMLD, Complex Needs and SLD
- Support students in lessons, during transitions and unstructured times
- Help pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning
- To work with ASD/PMLD/SLD students with additional needs aged 3 to 19 years old under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff
- Additional needs include severe learning difficulties, sensory and therapeutic needs and challenging behaviour
- To support students in their therapies and any additional health needs
- To assist the teacher in the management of students and the maintenance of an enabling environment and individualised resources to support pupil learning
