Team Teach Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
Location: Large Primary School in Barking and Dagenham
£85–£90 per day (PAYE)
Are you Team Teach trained and ready to make a meaningful difference in a vibrant, inclusive school community? We’re seeking enthusiastic and proactive Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a primary school in Barking and Dagenham. The school has a strong commitment to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including a thriving ASD and SEMH unit, and we’re looking for individuals who are passionate about helping these students thrive.
Role Requirements:
- Team Teach training (current or expired) or experience in de-escalation and positive behaviour management.
- Either prior experience as an LSA/TA or relevant personal experience supporting children with SEND.
- A proactive, hardworking, and positive approach, with a bubbly personality that can motivate and connect with students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialised support for students with SEND, promoting their engagement and resilience.
- Implement personalised learning and behavioural strategies, collaborating with teaching staff and specialists.
- Embrace the use of positive communication and behaviour management techniques, seeing all behaviour as a form of communication.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment through teamwork, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to each student’s success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passionate individuals with a strong understanding of SEND, especially Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards adapting and learning.
- A team player with a big heart, a sense of humour, and a readiness to bring energy into the classroom each day.
