Do you have Team Teach training and experience supporting children with behavioural, social or emotional needs (SEMH)?
We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive SEND school in Hounslow that provides high-quality education for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, some of whom may also have additional learning difficulties or autism.
About the Role
As a Team Teach Trained SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, valued, and supported in their learning.
You’ll:

Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

Use Team Teach strategies to help manage challenging situations calmly and safely

Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to support each pupil’s individual plan

Foster confidence, emotional regulation, and social skills through positive relationships
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Team Teach trained (essential) and confident using de-escalation techniques

Experienced working with children or young people with SEMH, ASD or behavioural needs
-
Empathetic, patient, and reliable, with a genuine passion for inclusion

A good communicator who can work as part of a supportive team
If you’ve worked in a PRU, alternative provision, or special school, your experience will be highly valued.
