Therapeutic Mentor

£110 - £130 per day dependent on experience
We here at Parker Smith Inclusion are currently working in partnership with an educational organisation who are currently seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to join them and help to support their students in the community. The role will involve working either one-to-one or with small groups of students and supporting them to access their curriculum. The role will require a flexible approach to travel as you may be required to travel to different students and you will be required to travel to the central school hub for specialised training & team meetings once a week.
This role is only suitable for educators with a minimum of TWO years experience working with young people within an SEMH education setting. The role is only available full time Monday - Friday and the hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with hard to reach young people with SEMH/ACE's/ASC/Sensory & communication difficulties
- Be 'trauma informed'. Ideally with a mentoring, coaching, teaching background and have an understanding of Therapeutic Education
- Have the ability to build strong, meaningful and healthy relationships
- Be able to maintain professional boundaries and be resilient, solution focussed and reflective in their in their practise
