Therapeutic Outreach Mentor | £121 per day PAYE | Long term | Various Locations across London
Do you care about making a difference to young people? Do you want to create a supportive space for vulnerable individuals?
An outreach service in London is looking for a nurturing mentor who can support and lead pupils within the community by building up their self-esteem, resilience and responsibilities. You will be working with children and young people with SEMH and/or ASC, our most vulnerable children in society, who require consistency and patience due to their needs and trauma experiences.
This service appreciates each young person has a unique journey. Therefore, you will use a holistic approach drawing upon a wide range of social care and therapeutic strategies to meet each individual’s needs.
You will be working closely with the class teacher to provide excellent collaborative lessons and educational activities. You will be responsible for liaising with senior leaderships to develop appropriate risk assessments and supervision for assigned pupils. You will also be supporting their emotional wellbeing and encourage their achievements and development.
This role is full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm) and will require commuting across London to support multiple students.
