Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for a Therapy & Communication Assistant to support pupils within a specialist SEND setting in Camden.
This role could suit someone with existing SEND experience who particularly enjoys communication, interaction and helping pupils become more independent.
It could also appeal to someone considering a future career in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, psychology or specialist education.
What could the role involve?
Working alongside education staff and specialist professionals, you may support pupils with:

Individual therapy-informed activities

Small-group interventions
You will help reinforce strategies throughout the school day, allowing pupils to practise skills within real classroom and social situations.
Who are we looking for?
Essential:

Experience working with children or young people

Particularly useful experience:
You do not need to be a qualified therapist.
What matters is that you are interested in how communication, sensory needs and independence can affect a pupil's ability to access school.
