Therapy Lead - Specialist SEMH Education

Barnet, North London | £250–£320 per day PAYE | Full-time

A strong therapy service is not simply a collection of individual clinicians.

It needs someone who can connect the clinical work, education and wider needs of the young person into one coherent approach.

Parker Smith Inclusion is recruiting an experienced Therapy Lead for a specialist SEMH education setting in Barnet.

This is a significant role for an experienced clinician who wants the opportunity to influence how therapeutic practice works across an entire setting.

The school is looking for someone who can provide clinical leadership while remaining connected to pupils, staff and day-to-day practice.

Your role

Depending on your professional background and experience, responsibilities may include:

  • Providing clinical leadership across the therapy provision

  • Supporting a multidisciplinary therapeutic team

  • Ensuring therapy is integrated into pupils' everyday education

  • Providing supervision and professional guidance

  • Supporting clinical decision-making

  • Developing consistent therapeutic approaches

  • Working closely with senior education staff

  • Reviewing pupil needs and therapeutic provision

  • Contributing to service development

  • Supporting quality assurance and good clinical governance

  • Building effective working relationships across education and therapy

  • Helping staff understand how therapeutic thinking can inform classroom practice

Who are we looking for?

You will need to be an appropriately qualified and registered therapy professional with substantial experience within areas such as:

  • SEND

  • SEMH

  • CAMHS or mental health

  • Autism

  • Specialist education

  • Paediatrics

  • Multidisciplinary services

Previous leadership, supervision or service-development experience will be particularly important.

Why take this role?

This is for someone who wants to do more than manage their own caseload.

You will have the opportunity to influence how a therapeutic service operates, support other professionals and help create greater consistency between clinical recommendations and what happens in the classroom.

For an experienced clinician ready for greater strategic influence, this could be a genuinely interesting next step.

£250–£320 per day PAYE, depending on clinical background and experience.

Parker Smith Inclusion specialises in SEND and specialist education recruitment and provides honest, transparent support throughout the process.

Parker Smith Inclusion is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Appropriate professional registration, references, safeguarding vetting and an enhanced DBS will be required.
