Thurrock, Essex | Temp to Perm Position | £90–£95 PAYE per day - Thurrock

We are seeking a compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with ASD and ADHD. You will play a key role in helping the pupil access the curriculum, develop social skills and follow a structured daily routine within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD and ADHD

• Support the pupil to engage with classroom activities and learning tasks

• Help establish and maintain structure and routine throughout the school day

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through empathy and consistency

• Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet the pupil’s individual needs

• Encourage independence, confidence and social development

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children with additional needs, including ASD and ADHD (desirable)

• Patience, empathy and strong communication skills

• Ability to provide structure and consistency while remaining flexible to the child’s needs

• A team player who works collaboratively with teachers and support staff

• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
