Your Role
As a teacher in a specialist setting, you will:

Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the curriculum (primary) or within your subject specialism (secondary)

Support pupils with SEMH needs and associated SEND, helping them to re-engage with learning
-
Build strong, consistent relationships as a trusted adult
-
Create a calm, structured and safe learning environment

Work closely with therapists and specialist staff as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Monitor academic and emotional progress and celebrate pupil achievements
Who We’re Looking For
You will be:

An unqualified, trainee or aspiring teacher (a degree is required for both primary and secondary roles)

Passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs

Resilient, reflective and emotionally intelligent

Confident in managing behaviour through empathy, structure and consistency
-
Motivated by progress, relationships and long-term outcomes
Experience in a specialist, SEMH, PRU or alternative provision setting is desirable. However, mainstream teachers seeking a more fulfilling role are strongly encouraged to apply.
