Trauma-Informed Behaviour Mentor

Pay: £450 to £550 per week PAYE
Contract: Full time, term time only, temp to perm
Every young person deserves someone who refuses to give up on them. Could that be you?
For some pupils, education has been shaped by disruption, anxiety, and feeling misunderstood. Over time, that can chip away at confidence and trust. But with the right support, relationships, and guidance, young people can begin to reconnect with learning and believe in themselves again.
This specialist setting in Isleworth has been created for neurodivergent students who need a more personalised and nurturing approach to education. Built around trauma-informed practice, the school is led by a passionate senior leadership team committed to creating a stable, supportive environment where young people can genuinely thrive.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will use your experience and emotional resilience to support students with autism and additional needs who may have experienced significant challenges in education. These pupils do not need someone perfect. They need someone patient, consistent, calm, and able to see beyond behaviour.
Your role here will go far beyond the classroom. You will become a trusted adult, a positive influence, and a key part of a young person’s journey forward.
The current team includes professionals with backgrounds in:
- SEMH schools and alternative provisions
- Youth work and mentoring
- Residential care settings
- Prison and custodial services
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience supporting young people with behavioural or additional needs
- A strong understanding of the barriers disadvantaged young people can face
- A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed both personally and academically
