Organisation: Parker Smith Inclusion

Location: Cricklewood, Northwest London (NW2)

Salary: £500–£575 per week (PAYE)

Contract type: Full-time, temporary (term time only), temp to perm

Parker Smith Inclusion is recruiting a Trauma-Informed Behaviour Mentor for a growing specialist SEND school in Cricklewood, Northwest London. This is a meaningful opportunity to join a setting that places neurodivergent young people at the heart of everything it does, shaped by a senior leadership team that truly understands alternative education and is committed to building something sustainable.

Underpinned by a trauma-informed approach, this school supports students with autism who have experienced significant barriers on their educational journey. As their behaviour mentor, you will provide the consistency, empathy, and genuine belief in their potential that these young people need to re-engage, grow, and thrive.

Key responsibilities

Building consistent, trusting relationships with autistic young people using a trauma-informed approach. Re-engaging students who have faced barriers to education through empathy and structured support. Identifying and responding to the underlying needs behind challenging behaviour. Collaborating with a specialist team to deliver a cohesive, student-centred provision. Acting as a stable, grounding presence for young people who have experienced disconnection and unmet need.

Who we're looking for

Experience working with young people in SEMH, SEND, autism-specialist, residential care, or custodial settings. A working knowledge of trauma-informed practice and neurodivergent needs. An understanding of the daily challenges faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. A genuine passion for helping young people succeed in and beyond education. A calm, grounded, and resilient approach in complex and challenging situations.

Why join

A competitive weekly rate of £500–£575 PAYE, a temp-to-perm pathway within a growing specialist provision, and a team drawn from diverse, experienced youth-facing backgrounds. Most importantly, the chance to make a genuinely transformative difference to young people's lives.
