Trauma-Informed Behaviour Mentor

Camden, North London | £95–£110 per day | Full-time

Behaviour is often the part everyone sees.

The reason behind it can be harder to understand.

Parker Smith Inclusion is recruiting a Trauma-Informed Behaviour Mentor to support children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs in Camden.

This role needs someone who can remain calm when emotions are high, maintain clear expectations and understand that a difficult moment does not define a young person.

What will your day involve?

You may be supporting pupils who struggle with regulation, relationships, trust or engagement in education.

You will:

• Build consistent and appropriate relationships

• Support emotional regulation

• Help pupils return to learning after difficult moments

• Reinforce boundaries calmly and consistently

• Deliver individual or small-group support

• Encourage positive choices

• Help pupils develop strategies for managing frustration

• Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff

• SEMH schools

• Alternative provision

• Behaviour mentoring

• Youth work

• Sports coaching

• Residential care

• Mental health support

• SEND

• Children's services

We are looking for someone who is confident without being confrontational and approachable without losing professional boundaries.

Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs is strongly preferred.
