Some behaviours are hard to understand, until you look beneath the surface. As a Trauma-Informed Support Worker, you know that behaviour is often a reflection of past experiences. Your role isn’t to control it, but to understand it, support it, and help young people feel safe again.

In a SEND setting, you’ll work with students who may have experienced trauma or adversity. You’ll be a calm, consistent presence, building trust, supporting emotional regulation, and helping students begin to re-engage with learning, because safety comes before everything.

You’ll work closely with staff to create a supportive, trauma-informed environment where every small step forward matters.

We’re looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and emotionally aware, someone who can build strong relationships and stay calm in challenging moments. Experience is helpful, but your empathy and mindset are what truly count.

At Parker Smith Inclusion, we’ll support you in finding a school where you feel valued and able to make a real impact.

This isn’t just a support role, it’s a chance to help change a young person’s life.
