We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted Outstanding SEN school in Kingston, where students of all ages thrive in a supportive, play-based learning environment.
This school focuses on sensory and play-based activities that encourage each child to explore, connect, and learn in a way that suits them best. Working with students with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties, your role will be to help create a safe, happy, and engaging space where each child can flourish.
The SEN Teaching Assistant Role at a Glance
- Location: Kingston
- Hours: 8:30 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
- Pay: £85 - £100 per day, paid directly PAYE (no umbrella company)
You’ll be part of a small, friendly class of up to 8 students, with 2-4 other Teaching Assistants there to support you. Together, you’ll guide the children through play, sensory activities, and daily routines that help them gain confidence and independence.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience in SEN is a plus but not essential—we welcome anyone who has worked with SEN children in any capacity or studied Level 2 or Level 3 Health and Social Care.
- Compassionate and patient, with a positive attitude and an open mind.
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and joining the children in hydrotherapy (swimming).
- Ready to make each day enjoyable for the children and yourself!
