Year 5 1:1 Teaching Assistant – ADHD, Autism & FASD
Location: Thurrock, Essex
Salary: £92.50 - £95 per day PAYE
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

Parker Smith Inclusion is delighted to be supporting a primary school in Thurrock that is looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, Autism, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
This role requires someone who understands the importance of adapting support to meet a child's neurological and developmental needs. The pupil benefits from visual aids, sensory breaks, clear and concise instructions, and support with emotional regulation throughout the school day.
As the curriculum becomes more demanding, the school is seeking someone who can provide structure, encouragement, and consistency while helping the pupil build confidence and independence.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children with ADHD, Autism, or FASD
- Understand sensory and emotional regulation strategies
- Be calm, patient, and adaptable
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Be passionate about inclusive education
