Every child learns differently.

For some children, having the right person beside them can make all the difference.

Parker Smith Inclusion is delighted to be supporting a primary school in Epping that is looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, Autism and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

This role requires someone who understands the importance of adapting support to meet a child's individual neurological, developmental and emotional needs. The pupil benefits from visual aids, sensory breaks, clear and concise instructions, and consistent support with emotional regulation throughout the school day.

As the curriculum becomes more demanding, the school is seeking someone who can provide structure, encouragement and consistency while helping the pupil build confidence, develop independence and access learning successfully.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with ADHD, Autism or FASD.

  • Understand sensory needs and emotional regulation strategies.

  • Be calm, patient and adaptable, particularly when supporting challenging moments.

  • Be able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Provide consistent, individualised support to help the pupil engage with learning.

  • Be passionate about inclusive education and helping every child reach their potential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community where your work will make a genuine difference to a child's education, wellbeing and development.
