We are looking for an SEMH Support Assistant to work with Year 6 pupils in a specialist provision in Thurrock.
You'll support children who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour or engaging with learning. The focus is on building trust, providing consistency and helping pupils feel more confident in education.
The role includes:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support.

Helping pupils manage emotions and behaviour.

Building positive relationships and encouraging engagement.

Creating a calm, structured learning environment.

Working with teaching staff to support pupils' progress.
Who would suit this role?
We're looking for someone patient, resilient and calm under pressure. Experience supporting children with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour would be beneficial, as would a background in youth work, pastoral support or behaviour management.
